EB Music Man Stingray 4H, black on black, made in USA 2008. The black Stingray: it's an institution, right? This is the bass for every occasion. The black on black finish looks awesome; it's got a few scuffs and marks, but that only adds to the appeal. The board has plenty of play wear and is looking awesome, and thanks to being stainless steel, the frets are still in great shape despite the obvious miles on the clock. The maple board and ash body combo combines for a huge amount of tonal punch; there's a throaty midrange growl on tap balanced by an immediate, defined treble and a thumping, party starting low end. The neck feels well-played in and super smooth; it's a tasty round moderate profile that will make friends easily. This will surely deliver across all sorts of genres and make you look and sound good doing it; it's what you deserve, right?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor marks on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, discolour on the board from play and minor scuffs and glossing on the back only. The back has widespread light scuffs and dimples, no major marks. The sides are pretty clear save for a couple of dimples on the elbow area and near the jack. The front has a little chip near the bridge, widespread light scuffs and surface scratches and a few dimples on the top edge, no major marks. The guard looks to have been deliberately scratched a bit as well as played in. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Frets are in good shape, 9/10 for fret life left. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
