LTD Viper 54 bass, matte black, made in Indo 2009. This is a handy little bass. These Viper shaped basses are no longer available new; it's a cool look for a 4-string. The hardware and build quality are very respectable; this plays smoothly and is very reliable. Matte finishes like this tend to wear quickly with heavy play, but this one is currently still in pretty slick nick. The pickup has an active tone circuit; there's plenty of tonal beef on tap but it's not so aggressive as to be pigeon holed into one genre. Pretty mean!

Made: Indonesia, 2009 (serial is hard to read, looks like IS09065023)

Weight: 3.785kg

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has no major marks, but the serial is partially blacked out. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks. The back has a couple of minor scuffs but no major marks. The sides are pretty clean, just some minor scuffs on the top horn and near the jack. The front has a minor chip near the volume knob, otherwise it's just light play scratches. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets look excellent, very minor wear only, 9/10 for fret life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.

This listing is an archived entry. We love to look back and remember fondly what characters we've had through the store, so we keep them around for reference.
