Fender Japan '52 Telecaster, crafted in Japan 2006-08, vintage natural. The first thing you notice about this is the stunning grain on the ash body, it's just beautiful. The natural finish really lets the fine detail show through, it's especially nice on the crispy-clean back. This is in amazing shape, it could just about pass for new, save for some scratches on the pickguard. Most '52 style Teles either have a big, chunky U-shape neck, or the slimmer V; this one stands out for it's slim-C style style profile; more common on sixties style models. It feels great, the slimmer profile is instantly comfortable and conducive to quick movement. Tone-wise, this is classic-T to a tee: chime, cut and sparkle, balanced with defined lows and a nice open midrange. The Fender USA pickups are exemplary and nicely balanced. This is pure CIJ Tele goodness, it'll happily fill that Tele-shaped hole in any collection.
