(SOLD) Fender Japan '52 Telecaster TL52-85TX Vintage Natural 2007
Fender '52 Reissue Telecaster, crafted in Japan 2006-8, vintage natural. This is an excellent Tele. There's been several '52 style models in the Fender Japan catalog over the years, and this is one of the more deluxe offerings. As such, you get some nice appointments: brass saddle bridge, Fender USA Texas Special pickups, proper lightweight American ash body... the good stuff. All that really adds up when you plug it in: the tone is very appealing indeed. It's thick and fat on the low end, with heaps of punch and fullness, balanced by that signature Tele-twang on top lending all your notes a crisp outline and a sweet clarity. At 3.1kg, it's feather-light for a T: I'm not upset about it, and your shoulders will join me in celebration. The rich caramel of the maple and ash looks tasty as tacos too. This will scare some pretty pricey USA offerings, get around it while it's going!
