Fender '57 Reissue Stratocaster 2-Tone Sunburst ST57-53 1993/4
Fender '57 Reissue Strat, made in Japan 1993/4, sunburst. Classic, classy, simple, satisfying... that's this in four words. The mildly chunky '50s neck on this is instantly familiar; it's lively and responsive and you can feel the notes pulsing through it as you play. The body is light and similarly sensitive; it rings truly with each note. Strats ought to be glassy, spanky and warm, and this certainly delivers on those; it's got a charismatic tone that's disarming and eloquent. These Fujigen-era Strats are increasingly scarce and reliably excellent; this one is sure to be a quiet overachiever for another few decades yet.

There's some discolouration on the plastics and some minor pitting on the metal parts, but everything works fine. Overall: very good condition (8/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have very some minor wear, 8/10 for life left. Charming!
