Fender Japan '57 Reissue Strat, sonic blue, crafted in Japan 1999-02. This is truly a gorgeous sight. Sonic blue has to be one of the best finishes around on a Strat; this is stunning from every angle. The finish is a rarity on this model too, it's a non-catalog special order option, so don't count on seeing another one like this anytime soon. This is a 'Vintage Premium' model; so you get the deluxe appointments: high-end bridge, alder body, USA Texas Special pickups. The pickups deliver a whole stack of sauce: the tone is fat, spanky and rich, with enhanced bass and treble compared to a regular single coil. The maple board has yellowed to an appealing golden hue and the mildly-chunky '57 neck profile is friendly and familiar; it's an easy player with a whole lot to give. If you're hankering for a Strat, do yourself a favour and ask for this classy lady's hand in marriage.
