Fender '69 Reissue Mustang, yellowed sonic blue, made in Japan 1994-5. This little honey looks amazing! Originally finished in crisp sonic blue, this has yellowed in it's 22+ years to a soft green; it really pops. These Fujigen-era MIJ Mustangs are a whole lot less common than the later 'Crafted in Japan' examples, we've only ever scored a small handful. It plays brilliantly: slinky, responsive, effortless and full of that signature Mustang charm. Tone-wise, you get that thick, juicy jangle with ultra-short sustain that you expect from a Mustang. It's perfect for belting out obnoxious loud rhythm parts, as the attack is so defined and punchy. This really has the 'cool guitar' thing totally sorted.

Made: 1994-5, Japan, Fujigen Gakki, (serial T033043)

Body: basswood
Neck: maple with rosewood board, 24" scale, 7.25" radius

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's quite a few very minor dings around the body and on the end of the headstock, none are very noticeable unless from 10cm away. There's some scuffing on the bottom horn on the back, as well as a couple of long checking lines running down the back. The lacquer has yellowed significantly to a green colour, it looks excellent. There's some noticeable discolouration in the plastics and chrome, but they're in good shape. Missing a couple of pickguard screws, but it's not going anywhere and is sitting flush. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear, heaps of life left, 8/10. Babe!
