Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass AJB-65 Old Candy Apple Red 2008
Fender Aerodyne Jazz Bass, old candy, crafted in Japan 2007-10. This looks killer: the carved top, bound body, matching headstock and black plastics are super slick. The Aero-J was a Fender Japan original model and enjoys a cult favourite status; they're just such fun basses to play. It's got a slim quick neck and a fairly lightweight body, so you're never working too hard to play it. The P/J pickup combo mean you can dial fat thumpy P-style oomph or more modern snappy hi-fi sounds easily, all with a certain slightly scooped signature palette. The red is cool too, it will surely look great under stage lights. Or, in your room. It's versatile, you know?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has dimples and scuffs on the end and bottom edge, and a dent on the front on the end near the Aerodyne logo and minor dimples on the back. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, the satin finish has worn to gloss and there's some minor dimples as well as a pair of small dents behind the third and fourth frets. The back has widespread scuffs on the top horn, near the neck plate, along the belly carve, in the middle of the body and in the elbow area, some dents and scratches in the bottom corner and along the back edge near the rear strap pin and some dimples in the elbow area. The sides have dimples and scuffs on the top horn, dents and scuffs in the elbow area, dimples along the back edge, scuffs scratches and dimples near the jack and some light scuffs on the bottom horn. The front has a thumbnail mark up from the P pickup, dimples on the top horn, elbow area and near the jack, scuffs around the bridge and pickups and some playwear on the guard and horns.
Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing Condition Notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
Fret Life: 8/10, minor wear only
