Fender Japan Aerodyne Jazz Bass, old candy apple red, crafted in Japan 2006-08. This is a smooth operator! The Aerodyne J is a worldwide cult-hit, owing to their style, absolute ease of play and modern thump. The OCR finish on this one is superb, it hits the sleek lines of the carved top perfectly and the cream binding really makes it pop. In the hands, the slim satin-finish neck is fast and cooperative, and the lightweight body means you never feel like it's hard work. Both the P and the J pickups are great, there's a stack of great tonal options at your fingertips. There's definitely a 'modern edge' to the tone; it's a little more aggressive and pronounced than either a standard Jazz or P. This one is in great shape, and the red is a tasty departure from the more common black and grey finishes... this is a super-stylish gig-machine waiting to be unleashed on the unsuspecting public.
