Fender American Deluxe Strat, shell pink, made in USA 2005. My oh my, what do we have here? This looks just about as good as any Strat I've ever seen. I believe this was part of a limited run Fender USA made for the Japan market... they get all the cool finishes over there. The combo of a maple board, gold anodized guard and the gloss shell pink is just splendid. It's a great player too: the neck is a comfy slim modern C shape, the 9.5" radius board and taller frets are conducive to speed and accuracy and the hardware is super sturdy and reliable. The Noiseless pickups are bright and snappy, with a smoothness and clarity that will sit on top of a mix nicely. You won't miss the hum either. I've never seen another Am Dlx in this finish, so you've probably got one shot.
