Fender American Deluxe Telecaster Sunburst 2003
Fender American Deluxe Tele, sunburst, made in Corona California 2003. These almost need no introduction, and yet... here I go anyway! The American Deluxe was the long standing 'big brother' to the widely acclaimed American Standard series, so you get some nice appointments. On board here is some functional stuff: a belly carve, jumbo frets and a 9.5" radius for easy lead playing and a pair of extremely effective noiseless single coils. You also score some tasty 'bling': abalone inlays, cream body binding and the bright silver decals. The tone is extremely articulate and clear; every note and nuance comes out with gusto and eloquence. The magic of these is in the neck, it feels exceptional in the hands. There's a lot to like here; if you're after a hard working 'do it all' guitar, this is surely a zesty option.
