(SOLD) Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Sunburst 2013
Fender American Standard Jazz, made in USA 2013, sunburst. The American Standard series launched in 1986 and ran for many decades. These last-version models are some of the best, with a very agreeable satin finish neck and a set of spicy single coils made in the Custom Shop. This one is pretty light at 3.9kg and has weathered the last decade gracefully; it feels great in the hands. The tone is crisp and immediate, with a tuneful low end and an understated but warm midrange. That sunburst finish is classic too, paired with the dark rosewood board and the tort guard it's as swish as a Scottie Pippen three point shot. If you're after a super reliable hardworking bass to keep you company on those long nights, this one will surely nail the brief.
