Fender Cabronita Thinline Telecaster Build Black 2026
Fender Cabronita Thinline Telecaster Build, gloss black, made in Australia 2026. This super fun build came in from a regular Topshelfer, and it's packed with cool ideas. The neck is a comfy, sturdy maple number from the big F in USA, and it feels great in the hands. That's paired with a semi-hollow swamp ash body by Germany's Hermann's Guitars, which is also a classy example. Our buddy had some custom routing done: holes for a neck humbucker, full size single coil bridge and the offset tailpiece. The tailpiece is currently a hardtail and not in use, but you could use the top-loaded holes in the bridge and add some extra jangle and resonance if you saw fit without needing to replace the bridge. The neck pickup is a TV Jones Filtertron, which sounds awesome: fat and full like a humbucker should, but with bristle and sparkle aplenty, lending lines a jolt of personality. The bridge pickup is by Melbourne's Mr Fabulous, and is a hot take on the Tele-twang with abundant midrange oomph. You can set them in series or parallel via the four-way switch too, which is a nice touch. This looks like a million bucks, and sounds just as slick.
