Fender Classic 60s Jazzmaster Black 2017

Sold out

Fender Classic 60s JM, gloss black, made in Japan in 2017. This guy is barely a year old; it's barely been touched by human hands too. It's pretty rare to score JMs this close to perfect condition, but hey, it's nice! The sleek black/white tuxedo finish looks superb, it's very classy indeed. This one has the 'sensible mod starter pack': a Mustang bridge and a buzz-stop, so the bridge buzz etc is minimised. The tone is classic JM: thick, rich, twangy, loads of attack, perfect with effects. If you're after a guitar to dole out big, syrupy walls of ambience and noise, it's hard to go past a JM. Save a few hundred on a new one, put the cash towards a stack of fuzz pedals, write some filthy psych pop, get famous and do your Mum proud!

Model: Fender Japan Exclusive Series Classic 60s Jazzmaster
Made: Japan, 2017 (MIJ, serial JD17001425)
Finish: gloss black,  3-ply white guard
Body: alder
Neck: maple with rosewood board, dot inlays
Mods: bridge replaced with Mustang style, Buzz-stop bar installed, pickup covers changed
Pickup: orignal Fender Japan JM-single coils
Case: basic gig bag

Cosmetic condition notes: negligible finish wear. There's some very light shallow scratches from play on the guard, and a couple of very minor dimples on the back of the body. Really it's basically showroom-condition. Overall: excellent condition (9.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets very minimal wear, 9.5/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s and playing nicely!
