Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp 1966
Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp, made in USA 1966. As Fender amps go, they don't come much more iconic than an original 1960s Blackface era Deluxe Reverb. The model debuted in 1963, and the reissue that's currently available is one of the most popular amps on the market, even now. This beautiful example has made it's way to us via a couple off collectors in Melbourne and then NW Tassie, and it's in outstanding condition. The original speaker died long ago, so the only headline modification is an excellent 2015 Weber alnico 12" speaker; other than that, it's just the usual caps and tubes that have been replaced. The original footswitch and cover are handy additions. But, how does it sound, you ask? My oh my, it's just perfect. The midrange is perfectly punchy with a gorgeous depth and complexity, lows are rounded and articulate and the top-end abounds with shimmer and sweetness. With the volume above halfway, it gets hairy around the edges, and tapers up to a glorious growl if you push it hard. The vibrato and reverb are unreal too, there's a satisfying 'togetherness' about every note that comes out. We're very pleased to have this amazing amp available, come by and have a look while you can... beware, you'll fall in love.
