Fender Japan '52 Telecaster TL52-85TX Vintage Natural 2006
Fender '52 Tele, vintage natural, crafted in Japan 2006-8. When you picture the classic Telecaster, it's moderately likely something like this comes to mind. This one is the high end '52 style of it's day, so it's blessed with a lightweight ash body, brass saddles and a pair of USA made Texas Special pickups. The pickups are awesome: plenty of natural gain and low end, warm through the middle... they'll drive a tube amp very happily or clean up convincingly with a little twist of the volume knob. The body appears at first to be one piece, although the bottom inch or so is actually a second piece; it's so nicely matched that you hardly notice. It's pretty obvious this one has seen a bit of play, just look at that board! The frets have held up pretty well, but there's definitely been some good times had with this in hand. Natural relic beats experts with sandpaper any day.
