(SOLD) Fender Japan '57 Precision Bass PB57 Candy Apple Red 2010
Fender '57 P Bass, candy apple red, made in Japan 2010-11. This is a tasty bass! First up: the neck is gorgeous. There's some crazy flame in the maple on both the front and the back, it's very pretty. It feels slick and smooth in the hands too. The body is lightweight and naturally resonant, so the whole thing feels alive in the hands. Plugged in, you get a snarly, snappy take on the classic P-punch. There's heaps of round, juicy low end, but the maple board adds a little bit of extra presence through the top end to help cut through a mix. The original guard would've been one-ply white, so the black guard is a mod, but I'm on board: it looks awesome. You can't really go wrong here, this rules.
