Fender '57 P, made in Japan 2015, black. It doesn't get a lot more classic than this really. This is the high end model of Precision, so it's got an alder body, USA pickup and a vintage correct spiral saddle bridge. The '57 model is blessed with a fairly chunky D-shape neck with a maple board, which contributes a certain extra presence and treble through to the tone. There's a whole lot of tasty midrange growl on tap; this really does that classic P-tone beautifully. There's a few little scuffs here and there but this is in pretty tidy shape; from a meter away it looks almost new. If you're after a 'do everything' bass, the black P has been doing it for six decades or so, why stop the train now?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock is pretty clean, just a minor dimple on the end. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, no major marks, The back has some widespread light scuffs and surface scratches, no major marks. The sides have a few very minor things to note: dimples on the top horn and shoulder, light scuffs near the jack. The front is nice and clean, just a few surface scratches and dimples near the bridge and some play scratches on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets are looking tidy, 9/10 for fret life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
