Fender '57 Precision Bass, B&W, made in Japan 1993/4. These maple-board P models are a bit harder to track down than the regular '62 rosewood models, and they're a noticeably brighter and punchier tone. The maple board has aged to a sweet golden brown; like a delicious muffin, and it delivers some added spank and cut that's perfect for funk or punk. This one dates towards the end of the famed Fujigen-era, and it's got the classy feel to show it. It's light and resonant and an absolute pleasure to play; the neck feels brilliant. This is in pretty good shape for 25+ years old; and the classy tuxedo look never goes out of style. If you're after a killer P, this will surely hit the mark.
