Fender '57 Strat, crafted in Japan 1997-00, shell pink. My my, that's quite a finish! Shell pink is gorgeous, and with a couple of decades on the clock to yellow and mellow a little, it's all the better. This one has weathered those decades almost untouched; there's barely a mark on it and barely a scratch on the frets; very unusual but a lovely surprise. Aside doing more for your personal visual brand than any vintage leather jacket and expensive shades ever could, this delivers the goods in the tone and feel departments emphatically. The neck is the classic slightly chunky '57 shape; instantly familiar and a pleasure in the hands. The USA made pickups deliver a sparkly, biting treble that's balanced by an assertive bass and disarming midrange; each switch position offers a new delightful take on the classic Strat-spank. People ask us for shell pink Strats all the time, but they're getting harder and harder to source; if you're after a clean example that's a delight in the hands, don't wait too long to claim this little darling.
