Fender ST57-55 Strat, vintage white, made in Japan 1989-90. This looks good, no? The 1957 Strat had some classic features: spaghetti logo, Kluson style tuners, maple fretboard, 7.25" radius, single ply guard, three snappy single coils... so this model got all those. The vintage white finish has further yellowed and mellowed and been blessed with a fitting array of scuffs and minor knocks, which paired with the golden maple board, make for a very tasty look indeed. The pickups are crisp, clear and glassy, with plenty of top end clarity and a warm, expressive midrange. The in-between positions are especially pronounced too, that classic 'quack' is very apparent and very fun. The thing that makes these Fujigen-era guitars great is the necks: great pieces of maple, carved to a very comfy shape and finished off with all the care you could ask for, and as such, this feels awesome to play. Need ye ze great white Strat?
