(SOLD) Fender Japan ‘62 Jazz Bass JB62-58 Fiesta Red 2004
Fender '62 Jazz, fiesta red, crafted in Japan 2004-5. We don't get many Jazzies through in fiesta red, it's a such a cool finish. It's a vibrant blood orange in the flesh, brighter and more assertive than the more common candy apple red but a little more palatable than a capri orange. Paired with the off white guard and a streaky piece of rosewood, it looks a million bucks. The tone is great too: this has heaps of natural low end, it's fat and full with a walloping attack. There's enough crisp clarity on deck to lend your notes a clear outline and plenty of push through the low mids. The neck has some really tight maple grain on show and feels effortlessly smooth and quick in the hands. This really has that sixties coastal cool.
