Fender '62 Jazz Bass, lake placid blue, crafted in Japan 1999-02. This is such a stunning bass, it looks so good. The lake placid blue finish has yellowed and mellowed over twenty years to a gorgeous rich blue with a hint of green. Paired with the classic sixties curves, the golden headstock and a rich ochre rosewood fretboard, this looks a charm. The slim vintage C shape neck is luxuriously easy to play, it's a fast friend and will make a good companion if you play longer sets. The tone on deck is a pretty classic take on the J-growl. There's heaps of midrange push and grit on the bridge pickup, while the neck pickup offers a pleasing roundness with a tuneful and punchy fundamental note. Our tech has replaced all the pots with new premium parts, lending the tone a little extra sparkle and zing on the top end and ensuring it's stage-ready for the next couple of decades. Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some marks on the end and bottom edge, plus the G string tuner button is a little bent. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples on the back only. The back has a couple of dents near the neck plate, as well as widespread minor scuffs and dimples but no major marks. The sides have minor dimples and scuffs from the elbow area around all the way to the bottom horn, but no major marks. The front has a few dimples on the back edge near the bridge, in the elbow area and up from the neck pickup, as well as some standard play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7/10)

Playing condition notes: action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. The frets have some minor wear only, 8/10 for fret life left. Set up with fresh 45/105 Moonshiners strings.
