(SOLD) Fender Japan ‘62 Jazz Bass JB62-58 Lake Placid Blue Matching Headstock 1998
Fender Jazz Bass, made in Japan 1997-00, lake placid blue with matching headstock. Dang... that's smooth. Lake placid wasn't a catalog option on this model in the late 90s, nor was a matching headstock. Certain stores would often order limited runs of particular finishes at the time, so this most likely belongs to one such adventure. The blue has aged subtly, and contrasted against the tort guard and dark streaky rosewood board it really does look sublime. The tone on deck is classic J goodness: thick and snappy with heaps of attack and roundness. The slim neck and lightweight body make for an easy player too, you really can't go wrong. Smooth as the ocean under the moon.

The sides have dimples on the top horn and elbow area, a small chip and some scuffs near the jack and some dimples on the bottom horn. The front has some dimples near the jack and elbow area and some play wear on the guard and horns, nothing major. Overall: very good condition (7.5/10)
