Fender Jazz Bass, sunburst, crafted in Japan 1999-02. It's charming, no? This is a pretty classic '62 style Jazz, with the iconic comfy slim neck, well balanced offset body and sensible hardware. It's fairly lightweight and feels nice and alive in the hands, and the tone reflects that nicely: it's snappy, immediate and rounded on the low end. The missing guard channels Sir Jaco... I've always found it funny how they didn't add the red to the burst to the bottom horn where the guard would be; it adds a certain punk swagger to the look. There's a lot to like here, it's heaps of bass for the cashola. Can you play Teen Town, or what?
