Fender Japan '62 Jazz Bass JB62-75US Black 1998
Fender '62 Jazz, black, crafted in Japan 1997-00. Well, what to say? It's a black Jazz Bass, which is a very handy thing to be. This is the higher end version of the '62 style J from it's era, so it's decked out with a vintage-correct spiral bridge, an alder body and a set of USA pickups. The tone is great; heaps of definition and clarity rounding out a thick, tight punch. The slim neck is a fast friend and balances well against the fairly light body. The finish has a few knocks and bruises, lending this an air of bashful confidence that'll surely translate well in a live setting.

The back has no major marks, but there's a handful of minor dents and scuffs around the outside edge and near the neck plate. The sides have a few things to note: dimples on the top horn, some chips and dimples on the shoulder, some notable chips near the jack and a couple of minor chips on the bottom horn.
