Fender Japan '62 Reissue Precision Bass PB62-53 Vintage White 2002-4
Fender '62 P Bass, vintage white, crafted in Japan 2002-4. This is a really practical, good looking, slick playing bass. The classic off-white/tort/rosewood combo is a sure-fire winner; this has a certain vintage chíc that's very hard to dislike. The neck is in brilliant shape; it's a nice moderate traditional profile and feels super slick in the hands. At well under 4kg, the body is very light: it adds a bit of natural resonance as well as being a very welcome relief on the shoulders. Tone-wise, this is all thump: there's a fat, controlled bottom end with a sweet immediate attack and a nice dash of growl through the midrange. If you need a bass that'll show up to almost any situation and get it done while putting a smile on your face, this is just the ticket.
