Fender '62 Strat, crafted in Japan 1997-00, faded burgundy mist metallic. This looks superb, it's a delightful item. This started life wearing a beautiful coat of burgundy mist metallic, which is more of a mauve/lavender type hue. The finish has yellowed significantly over the decades and now appears almost orange, almost pink, almost red... it's got a certain depth and complexity to it. The streaky rosewood board and mint green guard round it out perfectly, it looks so cool. These '62 style models have a very agreeable moderately slim rounded neck shape, which sits really nicely in the hands. At 3.3kg, this is a lightweight example too, which is handy. Plugged in, it's bright and snappy, with a pleasing natural rounded low end. It's classic Strat spank, but balanced and warm with a nice body to it. Very fun!
