Fender '62 Strat, vintage white, crafted in Japan 1997-00. These never last long around here; the white Strat is such an institution that we all kinda want one, right? This is a '62 reissue model, which means you get a streaky, gorgeous rosewood board and a slim, super agreeable C shape neck. It's luxuriously, scandalously easy to play; the neck is a dream. This was the fancy catalog model in it's day, so you get an alder body and a set of Texas Special overwound single coils. That adds up to heaps of tone: creamy, understated mids with a fat, juicy low end and a warm, sizzling treble. These pickups love a slightly dirty amp more than their vintage voiced counterparts, but it sings sweet and clean when you roll back the volume control too. The mint guard and cream plastics make the creamy white finish really pop; it's such a classically stylish machine. I'll spare you the list of white-Strat-touting luminaries, but fair to say, it's a great club to be in.
