Fender '62 Strat, three tone sunburst, crafted in Japan 2004-5. The Dimarzio Collection was a limited time team-up from Fender Japan and Dimarzio, so this is a classic '62 Strat, but blessed with a tasty set of pickups. The pickups deliver a tone not too far from a Texas Special single coil, but with a bit of extra clarity, a fuller midrange and a lower noise floor. The tone is very satisfying; it's a balanced, articulate and creamy take on the classic Strat spank. This one's in a 3 tone sunburst that has seen some play, but is certainly not thrashed. The moderately slim, round neck profile is easy to get along with; it features some tasty maple and dark choc rosewood too. There's a lot to like here; plus, if it turns out not to be your thing, it can't be hard to resell a sunburst Strat, right?
