Fender Japan '62 Telecaster TL62-US Black 2010
Fender '62 Telecaster, crafted in Japan 2010-11, black. This is a classy thing! First up, the neck is awesome. The slim, rounded profile on these '62 models is super comfy; this one features some tasty streaky red brown rosewood and a tightly grained and arrow-straight piece of maple. The switch, wiring and pickups have all been upgraded, so the tone on offer is top notch. The bridge pickup offers a balanced and warm 'twang', while the neck position has a chiming sparkle and a punchy attack. The black oyster guard is a cool little quirk; it's a nice contrast against the clean black finish and chrome hardware. A black Tele is one of those guitars that'll always bring the goods for a huge range of gigs, so if you're looking for a classy-cover-all guitar, here's a good one.
