Fender '62 Tele, double bound candy apple red, crafted in Japan 1998-9. This looks terrific, it's hard to argue with that. The classic candy apple finish catches the light beautifully, and when paired with a mint guard, a dark streaky rosewood slab board and the iconic double body binding, it really pops perfectly. The neck is a comfy, fairly slim vintage C profile, which sits nicely in the hand and never makes you work too hard. The tone on offer is crisp and bright, with heaps of midrange warmth and a singing clarity. A Tele should be a simple pleasure, and this one surely is.
