Fender Japan '69 Mustang MG69-72 Sunburst 2007
Fender Mustang, sunburst, crafted in Japan 2006-8. The Mustang is surely one of Fender's most fun models to play: small and cute, super comfy, sounds great. This one is a mid-00s 'CIJ' era model, so it's made with plenty of love and care and feels very agreeable in the hands. The short 24" scale neck, with it's slim 40mm nut, is very agreeable and never makes you work too hard and pairs well with the slim body. The original pickups nail the brief: fat and punchy, naturally short sustain, rounded lows and chirpy highs; it's a very tuneful tone. The sunburst finish pops nicely against the pearloid guard and bold CBS-style logos; it looks very 60s and super swish. Lots to enjoy here!
