Fender Japan '69 Reissue Mustang MG69-65 Aged Sonic Blue 1995
Fender Mustang, faded sonic blue, made in Japan 1995-6. If you're anything like me, you already want this. It's hard to think of a better colour than this: it was originally a bright sonic blue, but a couple of decades have seen it yellow to a rich, oceanic seafoam green-esque colour. Combined with some natural wear like yellowed plastics, checking lines and smoky chrome, this radiates coastal cool. Mustangs are fun: the short scale, slim neck, cheeky trem and lightweight body make for a super easy player, plus the punchy tone and short sustain are perfect for indie, surf and punk. These are getting trickier to find, especially in this finish, so don't let the wave pass you by if you have the itch!
