Fender '69 Reissue Mustang, crafted in Japan 1997-00, competition lake placid blue. This is a very attractive item! The comp-stripe Mustang didn't become a standard model for Fender Japan for several years after this was born; this was ahead of it's time. The lake placid finish is a special-order rarity too; so it's awesome to have a Mustang with enough miles on the clock in this finish to see it starting to yellow beautifully to a deep oceanic hue. Aside from looking great, this has a lot to offer in tone and feel too. The smaller sized light body, skinny neck and short scale make it a dream to play; it's incredibly easy in the hands. The tone has that classic slap and thump typical of a Mustang; it's very charming and plays nicely with pedals. It's hard not to fall for this one!

Model: Fender '69 Reissue Mustang (MG69-65)
Made: Japan, 1997-00, Tokai plant (serial O095017)
Finish: lake placid blue (LPB) with mint competition stripe, 1-ply white pearl guard
Body: basswood
Neck: maple with rosewood board, 24" scale, 7.25" radius
Mods: none
Pickups: Fender Japan MG Vintage single coils
Case: very basic gig bag

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. There's a couple of minor marks on the end of the headstock and the back of the neck (approx 5th fret area). The front of the body is pretty clean, just some play-scratches on and above the guard and some minor pitting on the chrome. The back has a few minor dings: near the neck plate, bottom edge near the jack, top horn, as well as some light buckle rash scratching. Overall: good condition (7.5/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s, playing with ease!
