Fender '69 Mustang, shell pink, crafted in Japan 1997-00. Shell pink is one of those finishes that always attracts strong opinions, but it's pretty hard to argue that paired with the unassuming curves of a Mustang, it's a very appealing look indeed. The white pearl guard and white button tuners complete the chic 60s looks perfectly; this, quite simply, is gorgeous. Shell pink was never a catalog offering on Fender Japan Mustangs, so they pop up only extremely occasionally as a one-off customer order. The neck is slim and perfectly comfy, combined with the light, contoured body and cooperative tremolo, this is an effortless player that's very hard to put down. The tone is classic Mustang: a spanky, sparkly top with a dark and thick midrange and low end with a brisk, talkative attack. You really can't go wrong here, this is a superb player that'll surely look brilliant on stage.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock has some minor marks on the end. Neck is pretty clean. Back has some minor dents near the neck plate and back edge as well as some light buckle rash scuffs and scratches and the start of some checking lines. The sides have some minor scuffs on both horns and shoulder area as well as some light marks and dents between the rear strap pin and the knobs. The front is pretty clean, just a few dimples behind and above the bridge as well as some marks above the switches. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some minor wear but are in great shape, 8/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
