(SOLD) Fender Japan '69 Reissue Mustang MG69-65 Yellow White 2002-04
Fender Japan Mustang, yellow white, crafted in Japan 2002-04. The Mustang is one of the most charming of Fender's offerings; it's a blast to play and always looks great. The short 24" scale, slim 38mm nut width and 7.25" radius give you one of the easiest necks going around; it's effortlesly easy in the hands. The dark, spanky tone gets along brilliantly with big distortions and fuzz effects, as well as offering that slinky clean that jangles so convincingly. This one has some extra shielding and an earth to further reduce hum, so it'll get along well with your enormous pedal setup. The 'yellow white' finish has a cool custardy hue; it pops nicely against the dark tort guard and rosewood board and is sure to turn heads on stage. Plus, how cute is the little crocodile on the headstock? Adorable. This is a tasty little dose of summer all year round!

Cosmetic condition notes: mild finish wear. There's some minor marks on the end and bottom edge of the headstock. There's a drawing in permanent maker of a crocodile on the back of the headstock; it should come off easily enough with the right cleaning products but it was too cute to remove, so we left it there. The neck is pretty clean. The back has the start of some checking lines, as well as some very minor scratches and dimples. There's some scuffs around the sides, most notably between the rear strap pin and the top and around from the knobs and jack. The front is pretty clean, just some minor dents around the edge near the rear strap pin, some dimples near the jack and some minor dimples and scratches on the top horn and guard from play. Overall: very good condition (8.5/10).
Playing condition notes: Action is low, intonation is good, neck is straight, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have some normal wear, nothing nasty; 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 11/49s.
