(SOLD) Fender Japan '72 Reissue Stratocaster ST72-55 Vintage White 1985-7
Fender '72 Strat, olympic white, made in Japan 1985-7. Some guitars just look 'the business'. The combo of well yellowed olympic white, a white guard, a golden syrup maple board and a big 70s headstock is a little slice of visual perfection... what a sleek, creamy delight this is. Aside from looking exceptional, this boasts the famed craftsmanship and wood selection the first few years of MIJ Fenders are so renowned for. The neck is superb; it's smooth and slim and has that 'magic' feel to it. Tone-wise, you'll get what you came for: sparkly defined highs, tight percussive bass and a breathy, expressive voice that'll tell you stories all day and all night. This really is bursting with mojo and majesty. Plus, did I mention it looks good?

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. Headstock is pretty clean, just some dimple on the end and bottom edge. Neck is also clean, very minor dimples only. The back has a few light marks: some dimples on the top horn, some light scuffs on the bottom edge, a few dimples below the trem cavity and little marks near ther neck plate and on the body carve; nothing major though. The sides have some minor blemishes near the rear strap pin, around from the knobs and on the bottom horn. The front is pretty clean, just some minor dimples behind the bridge and some play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: very good condition (8/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electrics tested and working properly. Frets have a little wear but no major buzz issues and plenty of height, 7/10 for life left. Wearing fresh 10/46s.
