Fender ST72-53 Strat, vintage white, made in Japan 1993-4. If when you picture your ideal Strat, something with a big headstock, maple board and a creamy white finish, you're both a.) not alone; and b.) probably onto something. This one was made in the mid 90s at the excellent Fujigen Gakki factory. It's got a great neck: slim but not tiny, beautiful consistently grained golden maple, round and agreeable and reasonably quick in the hands. The pickups are simple but effective: plenty of chime and sweetness on top, a balanced and smooth midrange and a little dollop of creamy fatness down low. It's a pretty Stratty-Strat, with heaps of quack on those middle positions, but not thin or harsh. The finish has three decades of play on the clock: looked after, but not pristine, and yellowed to a delicious cream cheese hue. This is a great Strat, so do the right thing: tune it to Eb and practice up all those Axis: Bold as Love lines til you die of happiness.

Cosmetic condition notes: minor finish wear. The headstock has some dimples on the end and bottom edge. The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, minor dimples and some rub wear on the back only. The back has scuffs along the belly carve, cavity cover, back edge and bottom corner, and some dimples in the elbow area and on the bottom horn. The sides have dimples on the top horn, a pair of small chips and some dents and scuffs in the elbow area, dimples near the jack and some scuffs on the bottom horn. The front has some scuffs on the top horn, elbow area and back edge, some dimples near the jack and some play wear on and around the guard.
Overall: very good condition (8/10)

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. All electronics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 10/46 strings.
Fret life: 8/10, minor wear only
