Fender '72 Tele Custom, crafted in Japan 2004-5, black on black. The Tele Custom is one of those models that has a certain instant swagger; it's effortlessly cool. This one has seen a few things in a previous life: there's some names scratched into it and a light headstock burn... someone got a bit carried away at some point! The neck has also been neatly sanded and refinished to satin, which feels awesome. It's a lively and enjoyable thing in the hands, and plugged in, the neck humbucker adds tasty creamy balance to the bright, tight twang of the bridge pickup. This is an excellent rock and roll machine; it's clearly been involved with some frivolity but hey, that's all part of the fun, right?
