Fender '72 Tele, blonde, crafted in Japan 1998. 'US Blonde' is a Japan exclusive finish, because of course it is... but dang, it looks good. It's a halfway point between butterscotch and olympic white and lets a whisper of grain peep through, and paired with the bold black CBS-era logos and a crispy maple board, this looks fantastic. The neck is an unassuming rounded U shape and the body is nice and light, making this a comfy and unassuming player in the hands. The tone on deck is bright, open and warm, delivering all those classic Tele-twang tastes: deep glassy plonk on the neck, snarly brassy chime on the bridge, balanced articulate class in the middle. This rules, you're going to love it.
