Fender Jag, candy apple red with matching headstock, crafted in Japan 1999-02. It's pretty easy to fall in love with this one. The Jag has got to be the coolest of the classic Fender shapes, and when it's dressed head to foot in red, it just looks all kinds of awesome. There's a few marks around the place, lending the guitar a played-in aesthetic that adds further to the appeal. This one has had the often maligned stock bridge replaced with an Adjust-O-Matic style, so keeps the strings in place nicely. The tone on deck is great: heaps of jangle and sparkle, but on the neck pickup there's a generous dose of beefy juicy low end and an immediate, punchy attack. The slim neck, short scale and perfectly weighted body make for an easy player; you'll be having fun in no time. So, all in all, it's pretty easy to fall in love, no?

The back has widespread light scuffs and dimples, as well as the start of some checking lines; no major marks but plenty of minor blemishes. The sides have dimples on both horns and the elbow area, as well as some scuffs and a few small chips near the jack. The front has a dent below the tailpiece, some dimples along the back edge and in the elbow area and some standard play wear on the guard and top horn. Overall: good condition (7/10)
Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. Frets have some normal wear but are pretty even and don't need immediate attention, 7/10 for life left. All electrics tested and working properly. Wearing fresh 11/49s Moonshiners strings.
