Fender Jag, sunburst, crafted in Japan 1997-00. The sunburst Jaguar is a reliably glorious item, and this is no exception. This one is a couple of decades old and has plenty of minor honest play wear around the edges, which makes the sunburst finish pop all the more. The piece of alder is really lovely, the back especially shows of some really pretty grain. The neck is a slim, round comfortable profile; combined with the short scale and resonant body, it just feels good to play. The classic Jag-jangle abounds when plugged in: heaps of chime and zing with a natural short sustain on the lead circuit, or a thick, swampy punch on the rhythm mode. You really can't go too wrong here, it's a classic for a reason.
