Fender Jaguar Special, black, crafted in Japan 2004-5. Heck, what a beast. The Jag Special was made for a few years in the mid-late 00s, it's a take on the 'hot rodded offset' idea. You get some classic vintage Jag appointments: perfectly balanced offset body, jangly 24" scale, dual circuit electronics, 60s style logos. You also get some handy stuff you don't see on a vintage style Jag: stop tailpiece, Adjust-O-Matic bridge, two Dragster humbuckers and some sleek chrome knobs. It's got a real sci-fi-hot-rod aesthetic with all that black and chrome, so cool! The tweaks make for an easy playing experience: stable tuning, no 'bridge buzz', easy intonation adjustments etc. It's a monster player, the slim neck and short scale make everything pretty effortless. The tone is heaps of fun too: a dash of traditional Jag Jangle, spiked with a hefty crunchy midrange with heaps of presence and attack and fat, satisfying natural bass. This has already turned a bunch of heaps, so make this partymachine yours before some other clown in a rival punk band does.

The neck is clean and smooth in the hands, there's a couple of patches on the bottom side and a few dimples but they feel fine. The back has widespread light scuffs and surface scratches, no major marks though. The side have a couple of dimples on the horns and some scuffs near the jack and in the elbow area, no major marks. The front is pretty tidy, just a few scuffs around the back edge and near the controls, dimples in the elbow area and some play wear on the guard and horns. Overall: very good condition (8/10).

Playing condition notes: Action is low, neck is straight, intonation is good, truss rod works. The frets have minor wear but are pretty even with no major buzz issues, 7/10 for fret life left. All electrics tested and working fine. Setup with fresh 11/49 Moonshiners strings.
