Fender Jazzmaster, US Blonde finish, made in Japan 2010-11. This is a delightfully pretty item... it altogether gorgeous. We've had a few vintage white JM66 examples through the shop, but this is the (ironically) Japan-exclusive 'US Blonde' finish. It's a halfway point between olympic white and butterscotch blonde, so it's a creamy hue with some grain on show under the colour. The previous owner switched the dark tort guard for a red tort example, which adds a bit of vibrance and pop. The combination of the perfectly weighted offset body, slim neck and cheeky trem make for a fun playing experience, this has an uplifting feel about it. Plugged in, there's plenty of chiming, snappy jangle on deck. The brightness and clarity are great for surfy clean tones, or you can drown the sound in effects and still maintain clarity of note and attack. We can barely hold onto any JM around here, so chances of this extra beautiful one hanging on the wall for long is pretty slim.
