Fender Mustang Bass, crafted in Japan 2004-5, comp fiesta red. If you're anything like me, you already want this, no matter what the next few sentences say. Mustang Basses are in high demand and short supply of late, and not for no reason: this has a lot of charm. First up, it's supremely easy to play. The short 30" scale, slim neck and lightweight body mean you're never working too hard, it's all just a bit too easy really. Second: this packs a tone all it's own. There's a plethora of punch and attack with a naturally short sustain and a round, warm cheeky low end. It's perfect with a bit of overdrive for punk or grunge or cleaned up for surf or indie stuff. Third: well, it looks cool, right? That's enough words for now, you get the idea!
