Fender Mustang Bass, crafted in Japan 1997-00, fiesta red. Mustang basses are a winner on every level: they look awesome, they're effortless to play, and they sound killer. The 30"short scale is an absolute breeze on the fingers, everything feels within easy reach and it's just so fun to riff around on. The slinkier scale also means a thumpy, round tone that's got a lot of charm and slots perfectly into punk, soul and any number of other vintage-vibe genres. These weren't cheap in their day, so you get the good stuff: a US bridge plate, Duncan Designed pickups and an alder body. This is really has a lot of charm, but it packs a whole lot of attitude under the hood!
