Fender Japan Standard Jazz Bass JB45 Lake Placid Blue 2004
Fender Japan Standard Jazz Bass, lake placid blue, crafted in Japan 2004-5. These Japan Standard models were a trimmed down version of the '62 Jazz, but with the 90s era logos and a tasty satin finish neck. The neck is superb: arrow straight, slim and comfy, tasty dark streaky rosewood, perfectly played in and supremely smooth. The crisp blue finish is a treat, it looks superb and has weathered the years very cleanly. The tone is classic J, with a healthy dose of growl and snap balanced by an assured, understated fatness; versatile and satisfying. This is a great little do-it-all bass, it works a treat.
