Fender Japan J-Craft Standard Strat, lake placid blue, crafted in Japan 1997-00. The Japan Standard Strat was a long running model sold exclusively on the domestic Japan market. You get a slim '62 style neck shape, but in this case it's topped with a cool 9.5" maple board and finished in satin. The neck feels great in the hands, it's a really great piece of maple. The lake placid finish has yellowed and mellowed over the years to a warmer hue, paired with the aged plastics and the 90s era decals, this has a cool understated summery look to it. Plugged in, you get heaps of spank and sparkle and a balanced, warm take on the classic Strat sound. These punch well beyond their price and will surely put a smile on your dial.
