Fender Japan Standard Strat, sunburst, crafted in Japan 2002-4. These are awesome little guitars. The basic recipe is this: take a '62 style Strat, flatten out the radius, move the truss rod adjuster to the sensible headstock end, stick modern style tuners and add the 90s style logos. It works a treat; this feels awesome and sounds great. There's a sweet, chiming, crisp treble balanced by a punchy, fat bass; it's a tasty take on the classic Strat-spank. The neck has enough miles to smooth up the finish, plus it's a super easy profile to get along with; it's awesome in the hands. The sunburst finish has held up beautifully over a couple of decades; it's looking super clean. All in all: great, simple Strat.
